Episode 7 — How Mindfulness Creates Freedom

Most of us interact on automatic, most of the time. In automatic mode, you don’t have thoughts like “well, I could say THIS or maybe THAT,” instead, you just speak whatever comes to mind. This is normal and natural. But if you want to have deeper, more authentic connections and better outcomes from important conversations, then being on automatic isn’t the way to go. Mindfulness in conversation is a creative act, not a passive event. You create space between stimulus and response. When you create a mindful moment, you have the opportunity to choose a considered response. NOW, in the moment between stimulus and response, you have a choice. You experience greater freedom.
